How EWE Doin'?
I couldn't help myself-- I had to make a card with this dude today! This is for today's CAS challenge on SCS, which was to cut out an element on your card. I cut out the sheep's head and popped it with a 3D dot. I colored him with Copics, and the fence with Copics and Prisma Pencils with Baby Oil.

Season's Greetings! CC245
This card is for today's Color Challenge on SCS, which was to sue Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Real Red and any Neutrals. I used my Flourishes set, Forest of Trees to create the forest. I sponged in a tiny bit of bashful blue ink for the sky. I added flower soft to some of the tree branches for snow. The finished size is 4 x 4". What do you think?
Ingredients: Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers {Forest of Trees}, Studio G {Season's Greetings sentiment}; Cardstock: SU! {Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip}; DP: SU! retired; Ink: SU! {Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue}; Accessories: Nesties, Ribbon {Michael's}.

LSC246: Happy Thanksgiving!
For today's Limited Supply challenge on SCS, we were supposed to use a Thanks or Thanksgiving theme and include a bird. This image (turkey, pie and sentiment) are from Whimsie Doodles! It's hard to see in the picture, but the piece of pie is popped out on a pop dot, and the whipped cream on top is Liquid Applique. The finished size is 4.5 x 4.5".

Ways to Use It-- Go Faux!
For today's Ways to Use it Challenge on SCS, we were to use some sort of faux technique, product, etc, to create an element on our cards. My "element" came via accident. I decided to create a Faux Waxed Paper Resist background (accidentally) after stamping a tree repeatedly from the Forest of Trees set by Flourishes. I added some sponging and thought that when I was done it looked kind of like I had done waxed paper resist on my backgound piece... Tah Dah!
Ingredients: Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers {Flourishes: Forest of Trees}, Unity {September KOM}; Cardstock: SU! {Sage Shadow, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Pretty In Pink}; Ink: SU! {Sage Shadow, Basic Black}, Copics; Accessories: MS border punch, Michael's sheer ribbon, Basic Grey button, Ikea twine, Nestabilities.

You're Getting Muffin for Christmas & SC254
For today's sketch challenge on SCS, we were to use this awesome layout by my friend Dawn (FlowerGal36)! She was also the inspiration for my printed background yesterday (thanks, homey!!). I colored with Copics and Prisma Pencils (with Gamsol). Definitely need to practice that....
Ingredients: Stamps: Whimsie Doodles (Muffin for Christmas); Cardstock: SU! (Chocolate Chip, Whisper White); DP: Basic Grey; Accessories: SU! Ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Copics, Prisma Pencils, Shapeabilities Ribbon Tag.

WT240: Use a Leaf
So I am always looking for a craft that is quick, easy and cool to do with the first graders at DS's school! When I came across this one, I just had to do it with them-- and we did, this past Wednesday! The kids had a blast, and I made one of the leaf prints into a card for today's Ways to Use It challenge on SCS, which was to sue a leaf on your card. So, what did I do you may be asking yourself? Well, you pick a leaf (we went for leaves in fall color-- and fresh from the tree!), place it on top of a piece of unbleached muslin fabric, place that on top of a piece of wood (or sturdy counter top), and then hammer the leaf. The chloroform from the leaf will leave a print of the leaf on the fabric! I tried this technique on cardstock but did not achieve the same results. I also found that certain leaves made better prints than others.
Ingredients: Cardstock: SU! {Whisper White, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa}; DP: SEI; Accessories: Gold Paint Pen, Unbleached Muslin Fabric, Leaf, Gold ribbon.

A Sneak of a Sneak.... this post will self-destruct in 10 seconds...
Today's SCS sketch challenge is so perfect for the new Party Monster set from Whimsie Doodles. The "official" sneak peek won't be on the Whimsie Doodles blog until tomorrow (and you MUST check it out-- it is so stinkin' adorable, I can hardly stand it!), so I sought special permission to post my card a day early beacuse of the sketch! I LOVE this topsy turvy cake.... it is so funky and fun! I did some crazy, uneven stitching to frame the image and on the base of the card. The funky fresh cake is on dimensionals-- of course! Don't forget to leave comments on the sneak peek posts at the Whimsie Doodles blog all this week so that you are entered to the new sets!
Ingredients: Stamps: Whimsie Doodles {Party Monster}; Cardstock: Stampin' Up! {Very Vanilla, Cool Caribbean}; DP: My Mind's Eye; Accessories: Basic Grey Buttons, SU! Gingham, Copics, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals.

Sunny Day Stair Step Fold
Melyssa {from Whimsie Doodles} is UBER talented (and extremely modest), and if you have a few minutes to browse SCS, you should definitely check out her gallery {croppixie}. It is absolutely unbelieveable. Anyway, ever since the day I saw this absolutely incredible {Pirate Card} in Melyssa's gallery several months ago, I have been itching to try making a card using the Stair Step Fold. All this week on the SCS homepage they have been promoting a tutorial on this very fold (was it meant to be or what?), and I decided last night (okay I made this tonight and I am typing tonight, but it is too dark to take a picture TOnight...did you get all that?) I would try it out. Here is a link to the SCS tutorial. The fold itself it s VERY simple, and I encourage you all to try it! I used this fold with today's inspiration challenge on SCS. Here is a link to my inspiration piece. I was inspired by the way the objects on the vase visually float because of the clear background.
My scene features the Sunny Day digistamp set from Whimsie Doodles. Everything, with the exception of the blue cardstock base, started out white. I did lots of coloring with my Copics! In fact, all of the images except the clouds are colored/cut out twice and popped with, you guessed it, dimensionals. That is one craft supply I use on nearly every project I make! I wanted to make the images in the back two tiers appear to be floating, so used strips of clear acetate and attached them to the images and then to the card base. One neat thing I did on the hot air balloon was replace the printed ropes with black string-- that idea came from fellow DT member Kelli! I also added Shimmerz to the Sun and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the cupcake balloon. I darkened the color of the felt ribbon with a Copic marker.
Ingredients: Stamps: Whimsie Doodles {Sunny Day}; Cardstock: Stampin' Up! {Whisper White}, DCWV {textured stack-blue}; Accessories: Copics, Shimmerz {Sunny}, black string, white gel pen, acetate, SU! {Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Dimensionals}, K& Company {Felt Ribbon}.
