TLC215 Flower Pot Pocket Card

Today's technique challenge was to follow this tutorial to make this adorable flower pot pocket card. The flowers are actually affixed to a rectangular card that pulls out so that you can write on it. I curled my flowers with a very technical technique called finger nail curling. Yes, I used my grubby little fingers to make the flowers more "life-like". The colors of my card were inspired by a package of buttons by Foof-A-La, called Going Places Buttons. I used them in the centers of my flowers. To give the flowers & leaves some extra dimension, I sponged them with a darker shade of ink (for the flowers I used Pumpkin Pie, and the leaves I used Old Olive).
Supplies: Dies: Sizzix {Flower Layers #2, Leaves #3}; Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug {Swirls}; Cardstock: Stampin' Up! {Blush Blossom, Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow, Old Olive, Vanilla (on the insert)}; Ink: Stampin' Up! {Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive}; Accessories: Foof-A-La {Going Places Buttons}, Offray ribbon, SU! scallop edge punch}
