SNOWPOCALYPSE PICTURES

Okay, I promised my brother I would take some pictures from the same spot all day to show this crazy snow storm's progress.   It looks like it is all done for now-- thank goodness.

8:52 AM Friday, February 5, 2010
Snow just starting to fall.  The snow in the background is from  two storms earlier this week.
Eddie had to be on site in Stafford at 8:00 AM this morning.

10:16 AM

11:20 AM

12:32 PM

4:44 PM
Eddie just started plowing in Stafford County, about an hour away.

6:25 PM

7:43 PM

9:45 PM
The National Weather Center just announced that we are under a Blizzard
warning from 10:00 PM tonight until 10:00 PM tomorrow night.

10:13 PM
I don't know what a blizzard sounds like exactly,
but I think it might be what it sound like now.

10:30 PM Back Deck
Measuring at 11 inches (it was shoveled before the new snow began) in the flattest
spot I could find to stick my measuring stick.

You can barely see it in the picture, but trust me, you can feel it in person.

14 Inches and counting...
I'm normally not up this late, but I can't sleep because
the power flickered once and now I'm nervous.

7:30 AM
The yardstick on the deck says 17 inches, but the yard itself says otherwise.
Power is flickering, so I'm cooking a chicken and running the gas logs.
This snow is heavy and wet, unlike our previous snows this year and
causing power outages all around us.

1:15 PM
Measuring 21 inches, on the deck, but after walking in it,
I'm sure there is more than that!

6:31 PM The End
It looks like it has stopped for now!  They're calling for more on Tuesday.
