Back To School-- Whimsie Doodles Style!

Can you believe this summer is almost over?!? I almost fainted in the dollar store Tuesday when I saw them putting out some Halloween stuff! Well, August and September mark the beginning of a new school year, and Whimsie Doodles has some adorable new digis available today to help commemorate the event. This tag is the sentiment from the School Bears set (that bear with the big ole book bag reminds me of my baby last year when he was heading off to kindergarten). I colored the apple twice, cut one out and attached it with a dimensional. The main oval was cut using Roxie's out of the box technique, which uses a Nestabilities die to do the cutting. The star is dotted with some adhesive rhinestones as is the black border on the red oval. Although I think this tag would be adorable on a scrapbook layout, I couldn't resist wrapping up these markers {I love new school supplies-- you should see my storage space here...we will never, ever run out of Crayolas!) I might replace these markers with a more grown-up version (sharpies, maybe?) or some ink pens to send to Reilly's new teacher on the first day!
We need to butter her up from the get-go ;)
Ingredients: Stamps: Whimsie Doodles {School Bears}; Cardstock: Stampin' Up! {Real Red, Whisper White}; Ink: Stampin' Up! {Sahara Sand, Basic Black}; Accessories: Dimensionals, KaiserCraft rhinestones, black and white gel pens, sheer polka dot ribbon.

The tag is great and what a lovely idea to send a gift in at the start of term and not just at the end
