Happy Birthday Whimsie Doodles!

Welcome to our 2nd Birthday Blog Hop!  We are so excited that you are here and we cannot wait to celebrate with you!  In honor of Whimsie's second birthday, Melyssa has designed an adorable new rubber stamp set-- woo hoo!  I love that it is Whimsie's birthday, but we get all of the presents!

Before I show you the new images, let's get to the nitty gritty on how today's BLOG HOP will work, shall we?

And now for the star of today's show.... this is Baby Joy!

I decided to use non-typical baby colors for my Baby Joy card.  I stamped in black and used Copics to color the image.  For the sentiment, I stamped the full "A New Little One to Love and Adore" as pictured above, and used my scissors to snip out just part of it and attached it as a tab on the side of my image panel.  This is a great way to stretch your sentiment sets out-- and maybe even use them for a different occasion than they were intended.  The possibilities are endless!

Welcome to the Easter edition of our Whimsie Doodles blog hop!  You should have come here from Nicole's blog. 
For my first project today, I used the Easter Sentiments set!
(No Peeps were harmed during the making of my project-LOL)

Ingredients: Stamps: Whimsie Doodles {Easter Sentiments}; Cardstock: SU! {Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise}; Ribbon: American Crafts; Bucket: Target Dollar Spot; Accessories: Copics, MS Fine Glitter, SU! corner punch, Basic Grey button, embroidery thread, 3D dots, Peeps, shredded paper.

This is my second project, which also comes from the Easter Sentiments set:

Melyssa sent me these yummy papers, and I just had to use them!  All I did for the image was enlarge it to make it the center of attention, and color it with a combination of Copics and Prisma pencils.

We're doing this hop word scramble style, which means while you bounce around from blog to blog, you will be collecting letters.  At the end, you will unscramble those letters to get a coupon code to use in the Whimsie Doodles store so that you can download this adorable Jelly Belly image free! 

Once you've done your hoppin' and visited all of our Doodlelicious Divas, you'll go back to the Whimsie Doodles blog and leave a comment to be entered into a drawing for a $10 gift certificate, or one of two $5 gift certificates to the Whimsie Doodles store!

Have you guessed it? It's the letter E!  For EMERGENCY....chocolate EMERGENCY!!  We all know what it is like to have that kind of emergency, don't we?? 

My project features the chocolates from the brand spakin' new Whimsie Doodles rubber stamp set called Lil Cupid! 

Eeeek!  I know right-- Whimsie Doodles in RUBBER--- how exciting?!?!?!!!

To make this little box, I took a pre-made Martha Stewart box and used a circle punch to make a hole in the lid.  Then I attached a piece of acetate from underneath to make a window.  The inside of the box is waxed and food safe-- so it is perfect for an emergency chocolate stash for your favorite chocoholic!

Big Fat Whimsie Doodles Blog Hop

It's Time for Our First Whimsie Doodles Blog Hop!

My very favorite (at the moment-- let's be honest, it was totally hard to narrow it down to one!) Whimsie Doodles set is Fish Tales! There are so many images and sentiments in this set and it is so versatile! Not to mention that it is SO MUCH fun to color! If you remember not that long ago, I posted a card with a cute little submarine. That was also part of this set! Don't forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win your own Fish Tales stamp set from Whimsie Doodles! I have linked everything that says Fish Tales to that set in the new store so that you can take a look!

I created the background paper by taking one of the sentiments in the set and copying/pasting it before I printed it onto the designer paper. The gel is sparkly because I added Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter to the gel. My kids love it when I make this kind of card because they love to squish the gel around!
