This is my card for today's blog hop day 2! All Flourishes stamps, cardstock, paper, ribbon, embellishments and ink are from Mark's Finest Papers, of course!! I would like to share two little things I did here which you may find helpful in your cardmaking, and I've realized that I do a lot when i don't have the exact embellishment I'm looking for. First of all the Basic Grey DP was exactly what I wanted in terms of design (I wanted a small, repeating pattern to make my image panel the star of the show). BUT, the small dots on it were chocolate brown, instead of black. So, I used a black gel pen (I often use Copics for this) and changed the color of the dots to black. Also, the Basic Grey adhesive pearls were green and I wanted them to be black, so I used my black Copic marker to color them. If you color with Copics on something smooth such as one of these pearls or a button, be very careful about handling them until you are sure they are dry!
Diamonds are forever...and so is black Copic ink!
Have fun on the rest of your hop!!
